Brennan is a HUGE fan of the sitcom Friends. Back in March, when Covid quarantining began, he asked if I wanted to watch with him. So we started at beginning, and we’ve been (re)watching a couple episodes together every morning before work and virtual school. 
This week we started on Season 10, which if you didn’t know, is the last season. It’s a little bittersweet that it’s almost over, but I’ve loved this little routine we’ve done together with all the craziness going on in the world.
Covid will eventually be a thing of the past. School will go back to normal, businesses will open back up on this tiny island, and things will get back to a regular type of normal. I have no doubt Jason and I will remember the weeks (months) of social distancing, of stores being short on cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer, shopping for masks, standing in lines (6 ft apart) to go into buildings, the election insanity, and the DMV being closed for months.
I’m sure Brennan will remember some of those things, too, along with not being able to see his friends, his virtual school experience (who can forget that!) and his favorite mustache mask.
But I’m hoping what he will remember most, or at least think about and smile is that 2020 was –
“The One Where They Got to Stay Home and Watch 236 Episodes of Friends…Together”.
I know I will.
